Cargo insurance provides indemnity to the owner of goods for
the loss or damage sustained by the goods shipped whilst in
transit from a place of shipment to a destination named in
the policy. Transits may be by approved conveyances by Sea,
Air, Land or a combination of Sea/Air and land. Policies may
be issued under different conditions of insurance based on
Institute Cargo Clauses depending on the nature of goods and
the mode of shipment etc. |
