Workmen's Compensation Insurance provides indemnity to Employer for Death or disability of their employees at work for which the Employer is liable under the Labour Law. Most Workmen's Compensation laws allow the worker the choice between accepting compensation under the law and instituting a civil action against the employer for damages based upon the latter's negligence. Although this option is seldom exercised, it is nevertheless customary for Workmen's Compensation policies to extend cover against such civil actions by an Employer's Liability policy. Insurance cover under the policy may be extended to include Medical Expenses and Repatriation of Human remains.
